The Arts: Ngā Toi

In The Arts, we provide an environment where students feel safe and encouraged to express themselves in their way.

We aim to keep the students’ own perspective at the forefront while teaching them to learn and gather stimulus, from others and our wider context. 

We celebrate success together, but we’re more concerned with the journey we took to get there. 

At each year, students will learn how to:

• Inform their arts practice by synthesizing ideas from a selection of artist models and works
• Reflect and regenerate work based on peer critique and evaluation
• Adopt the cyclic creative process of brainstorming, developing, clarifying, refining, regenerating
• Be original!
