This programme is an alternative course that allows students to gain some industry-based training and qualifications and an appropriate level. Participants need to have a career focus to be considered for this programme.
A letter of application is required from students wishing to be involved in this programme. This must outline reasons for being involved, long-term career goals plus the level of commitment required to participate.
One day each week is spent in the workplace where students are trainees and are treated as employees. Work-related study is a component of this programme and this may be assessed within the workplace or through Correspondence. Level 2 and 3 Unit standards are available in most career choices.
